What could be more Canadian than drinking beer, eh? Mix a little history and some great stories with the opportunity to sample some of the region’s finest craft brews in unique and historical pubs on this popular tour. Along the way hear stories of how the city grew up around such colourful characters as “Gassy Jack” Deighton & Portuguese Joe, some of the town’s original saloon owners.
Engaging stories, laughs & lagers – what a great way to spend an evening! On this tour stops will be made at four historic pubs, each with their own character and selection of craft beers to try.

On your “Beer Makes History Better” tour you’ll experience:

- Cambie Pub (established 1897)
- The Lamplighter (established 1925)
- Metropole (established 1906)

Your $20 ticket price includes entrance, a guided tour, photo scavenger hunt with prizes and a promotional beverage at each establishment.
When and where can I join this Tour Guys adventure?
Tour Dates: Thursday November 25th and Thursday December 9th. Email for additional dates.
Tour Time: 6:30pm start, tour lasts approximately 4.5 hours
Meet At: Railway Club – 579 Dunsmuir Street Vancouver, BC V6B 1Y4 (1 block from Granville Skytrain station). Click here for a map.
This tour ends at the Metropole Pub approximately 4.5 hours later. If you ask your guide at the end of the tour they will be happy to provide directions to wherever you are headed. You are also welcome to go back and visit one of the venues you’ve visited on tour.
